About Us

All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) was set up in November 1945 as a national-level Apex Advisory Body to conduct a survey on the facilities available for technical education and to promote development in the country in a coordinated and integrated manner. Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) (formerly UPTU) was established by the Government of Uttar Pradesh, in 2000. The University is affiliating in nature and its jurisdiction spans the entire state of Uttar Pradesh in affiliating B.Tech., M.B.A., M.C.A., B.Arch., B. Pharma., B.H.M.C.T., M.Tech. and Ph.D. programmes in 587 colleges/institutions. AKTU envision in facilitating and nurturing the quality of technical education and research in its own premises as well as all affiliating institutions.

Centre for Advanced Studies, AKTU, is an in-campus academic & research institution of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU). The institute started its first batch from July 2017. The aim of the “Centre for Advanced Studies” is to impart state of the art education leading to Post Graduate Degree as well as to facilitate quality research work in the emerging areas of the technology and to establish Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University as a world class premier academic & research institution.

Who can Apply
The faculties and research scholars from AICTE ap- proved and AKTU aliated Institutes are eligible to participate in the FDP.

How to Apply
Please apply for the FDP at the url given below. Ap- plicants who are selected for the FDP will be intimated via email. There is no registration fees for the FDP.

  • Duration: 5 days (24th to 28th June 2019)

About the FDP
The FDP aim to teaching skills in the contemporary and emerging areas of networking like IoT, and cloud. The programme will also help the teachers to upgrade their knowledge of the recent developments in teaching and research methods. Exposure to case based meth- ods of teaching will help the teachers in developing the skills in preparing cases to be used for their classes.

The FDP will provide a platform to faculty members to explore and understand emerging research domains in networking. The FDP will cover theoretical aspects of networking and also extend its coverage with demos and presentations from industry representatives.
The major contents of program will be:

 Software De ned Networking, Network Function
Virtualization, Peer to peer networking
 Integration of AI with networks
 Information/ Content Centric Networking
