All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) was set up in November 1945 as a national-level Apex Advisory Body to conduct a survey on the facilities available for technical education and to promote development in the country in a coordinated and integrated manner. Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) (formerly UPTU) was established by the Government of Uttar Pradesh, in 2000. The University is affiliating in nature and its jurisdiction spans the entire state of Uttar Pradesh in affiliating B.Tech., M.B.A., M.C.A., B.Arch., B. Pharma., B.H.M.C.T., M.Tech. and Ph.D. programmes in 587 colleges/institutions. AKTU envision in facilitating and nurturing the quality of technical education and research in its own premises as well as all affiliating institutions.

Centre for Advanced Studies, AKTU, is an in-campus academic & research institution of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU). The institute started its first batch from July 2017. The aim of the “Centre for Advanced Studies” is to impart state of the art education leading to Post Graduate Degree as well as to facilitate quality research work in the emerging areas of the technology and to establish Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University as a world class premier academic & research institution.

The FDP aim to teaching skills in the contemporary
and emerging areas of networking like IoT, and cloud.
The programme will also help the teachers to upgrade
their knowledge of the recent developments in teaching
and research methods. Exposure to case based meth-
ods of teaching will help the teachers in developing the
skills in preparing cases to be used for their classes.Scope:
The FDP will provide a platform to faculty members
to explore and understand emerging research domains
in networking. The FDP will cover theoretical aspects
of networking and also extend its coverage with demos
and presentations from industry representatives.
